NBT Sessions and Information
Most Universities and colleges require students to write the National Benchmark Tests , and use these marks in different ways in the acceptance of students. Although the tests are based on the school curriculum, many students find the MAT (maths test) difficult, because the way the questions are asked is different to a normal NSC exam paper.
However , with enough practice of NBT - type questions , it is possible for the average student to gain a proficient mark for the test.It is therefore advisable for students to prepare for the test a few weeks beforehand , so as to get used to the way questions are asked , and then have enough time to cover topics from previous grades , should this be required. Doing an online course for a few hours , and then going to write the exam , may seem an easy option , but for the majority of students , this is far from ideal.
We advise students to start preparing about 3 weeks before the time , work through targeted questions so that they understand how the questions are asked , and what theory is required.
Book to start working through the two NBT booklets , containing about 200 questions , about 4 weeks before your exams to prepare adequately.
